AWL cares for over 10,000 stray and abandoned companion animals on the Gold Coast and surrounding areas every year. AWL rehomes unwanted companion animals at one of the highest rates in Australia. AWL provides quality veterinary services through our Vet Clinic and an after hours ambulance service for injured animals. AWL educates school children and their communities about caring responsibly for companion animals with curriculum linked education programs and hands-on companion animal care courses. AWL works to end euthanasia of over 200,000 healthy companion animals per year in shelters all over Australia through the development of community awareness campaigns and supportive laws and policies.
